Position Description

JACS is seeking a Subject Matter Expert - Cybersecurity and Accessibility that can provide comprehensive expertise in both cybersecurity and accessibility domains.

Responsibilities 

This role will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in ensuring the security and accessibility of our digital assets and online platforms.

  • Provide expert guidance on cybersecurity best practices, including risk assessment, threat modeling, and vulnerability management.

  • Conduct security assessments and audits of digital systems and platforms to identify and mitigate security risks and vulnerabilities.

  • Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and standards to protect organizational assets and sensitive information.

  • Monitor and analyze security events and incidents, and respond promptly to security breaches or unauthorized access attempts.

  • Stay current with emerging threats and vulnerabilities in cybersecurity, and recommend proactive measures to mitigate risks.

  • Conduct accessibility assessments of digital content and platforms, and provide recommendations for improving accessibility for users with disabilities.

Qualifications

  • Should have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, practices, and technologies, including threat detection, incident response, risk assessment, and compliance requirements. 

  • Should be able to develop and implement cybersecurity strategies that ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of digital assets while also ensuring that these systems are accessible to individuals with disabilities. 

  • Familiar with relevant cybersecurity frameworks and regulations.
