Position Description
JACS is seeking a Subject Matter Expert - Health Policy that can provide comprehensive expertise in the analysis, development, and implementation of health policies and should have a deep understanding of the healthcare landscape, including healthcare systems, regulations, and policy frameworks at local, national, and international levels.
Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in the development, analysis, and evaluation of health policies and programs.
Development, implementation, and evaluation, with a focus on improving access, quality, and equity in healthcare policy and delivery.
Conduct policy analysis and research on key health issues, including healthcare financing, insurance coverage, and delivery system reform.
Monitor and evaluate the impact of health policies and programs on population health outcomes, health disparities, and healthcare costs.
Collaborate with government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other stakeholders to advocate for evidence-based policy solutions and reforms.
Provide technical assistance and capacity building support to policymakers and health systems leaders on health policy development and implementation.
Represent the organization in professional forums, conferences, and working groups focused on health policy and healthcare reform.
Qualifications
Possess knowledge of healthcare financing, delivery models, quality improvement initiatives, and public health interventions..
Effectively communicate complex policy issues to diverse audiences, including policymakers, healthcare professionals, and the general public.
