Position Description

JACS is seeking a Subject Matter Expert - Program Monitoring and Evaluation that can design and implement comprehensive monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess the effectiveness and impact of programs and interventions. 

Responsibilities 

This role will design, implement, and manage monitoring and evaluation frameworks for our projects, ensuring that programmatic interventions are effectively assessed and improved over time.

  • Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation plans for projects and programs, including the design of indicators, data collection tools, and evaluation methodologies.

  • Provide technical assistance and capacity building support to project teams and partners on monitoring and evaluation best practices.

  • Conduct evaluations of program impact and effectiveness using both quantitative and qualitative methods.

  • Analyze and interpret monitoring and evaluation data to assess program outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

  • Synthesize findings from evaluations into actionable recommendations for programmatic decision-making.

  • Ensures that monitoring and evaluation activities are aligned with project goals and objectives.

  • Document and disseminate lessons learned and best practices from monitoring and evaluation activities.

Qualifications

  • Have in-depth understanding of statistical concepts, techniques, and software tools, along with a track record of applying statistical methods to solve complex problems in relevant fields. 

  • Should be able to communicate statistical concepts effectively to non-experts and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the rigorous application of statistical principles in research, analysis, and decision-making processes.
