Position Description
JACS is seeking a Subject Matter Expert - Qualitative Research that can provide expertise in designing, conducting, and analyzing qualitative research studies.
Responsibilities
This role will be responsible for providing expert guidance and support in the design, implementation, and analysis of qualitative research studies across various projects within our organization.
Provide expert guidance on qualitative research methodologies, including study design, data collection, and analysis.
Design qualitative research studies and develop data collection instruments such as interview guides, focus group protocols, and observation protocols.
Conduct qualitative data collection activities, including interviews, focus groups, and participant observation, as needed.
Interpret qualitative findings and generate actionable insights to inform project decision-making and strategy development.
Collaborate with project teams to integrate qualitative research findings with quantitative data and other sources of evidence.
Provide training and capacity building support to project teams and partners on qualitative research methods and best practices.
Development of research protocols, data collection tools, and analysis plans for grant proposals and project applications.
Qualifications
Have in-depth understanding of statistical concepts, techniques, and software tools, along with a track record of applying statistical methods to solve complex problems in relevant fields.
Should be able to communicate statistical concepts effectively to non-experts and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure the rigorous application of statistical principles in research, analysis, and decision-making processes.
