Position Description

JACS is seeking a Technical Writer that can distill complex technical information into clear and concise documentation accessible to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities 

The Technical Writer is responsible for creating and maintaining technical documentation for products, processes, or systems.Technical Writer will translate complex technical information into clear, concise, and user-friendly documentation. This role requires strong writing skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.

  • Develop technical documentation, including user manuals, installation guides, API documentation, release notes, and technical specifications.

  • Translate technical information into clear, concise, and accurate documentation suitable for the intended audience.

  • Organize and structure documentation effectively, ensuring that information is logically presented and easy to navigate.

  • Use diagrams, charts, and other visual aids to enhance understanding and usability of technical documentation.

  • Review and edit documentation for grammar, clarity, consistency, and adherence to style guidelines.

  • Manage documentation projects, including prioritizing tasks, meeting deadlines, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Exceptional proficiency in written communication, including grammar, punctuation, and style.

  • Ability to understand and explain complex technical concepts in a clear and understandable manner.

  • Understanding of the subject matter or industry being documented can be beneficial but is not always required, as technical writers often specialize in learning new subjects quickly.
